The Unexpected Inspiration Behind This Blog

Years ago, I discovered an old, gently worn copy of “The Heart of Home: Decorating with Meaning” by Eleanor Brooks, published in 1992. It felt more like a heartfelt conversation about why our homes matter. Even though it’s no longer in print, Eleanor’s thoughts on how storytelling and living spaces intertwine stayed with me for years.

As I decorated our home with more intention, I noticed how even the smallest change could shift the mood of an entire room. Friends began asking for advice, then neighbors, and eventually people I had never met. I realized that our home had become a place of learning and inspiration I could share.
